His journey continued at the University of Kansas Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2008, deepening his legal acumen, particularly in intellectual property law.
David’s legal practice is distinguished by his specialization in patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret law, paired with extensive experience in technology law, encompassing critical areas such as privacy and security. He has a notable track record of writing and prosecuting patents for some of the world’s leading technology companies, showcasing his expertise in navigating complex legal and technical landscapes.
Before diving into law, David honed his technical skills as a software engineer and held key technology leadership positions, including CTO and VP of Engineering. These roles not only fortified his technical knowledge but also enriched his strategic and leadership abilities. Currently, he is further expanding his technological horizon by pursuing a Master of Computer Science from the University of Illinois, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, expected to conclude in Fall 2024.
